aBOUT EAST CAPRI

East Capri is a Brisbane-based alternative-metal band comprising of vocalist Eden Cartwright, guitarist Jackson Deasy, and guitarist Jamal Irlam. Formed in Brisbane, Queensland, the band has evolved into a distinctive force within the modern metal scene, seamlessly blending heavy roots with alt-pop sensibilities to craft a unique sound. East Capri put a heavy emphasis on their visual identity in all mediums to create an immersive experience for their fans.

Since their inception, East Capri has become a staple in Brisbane's alternative metal landscape, sharing stages with prominent local acts such as Stepson, Headwreck, Days Like These, Revoid, and Bad Neighbour. Their dynamic performances and genre-blending style have garnered them a dedicated following. Now, having recently completed their first interstate tour with To Octavia and RinRin, East Capri has expanded beyond their Brisbane roots, establishing themselves as a rising force in the national heavy music scene.

In 2021, East Capri introduced their dynamic sound with Wake n Repeat, a debut EP that set the stage for their evolution. In May 2023, they unleashed "CLEANOUT", their heaviest track yet, a relentless, no-holds-barred explosion of aggression that cemented their heavier edge. Then came "Veil Vision", a sharp contrast, glossy, hook-driven, yet still packing a punch, brought to life with a cinematic, blockbuster-worthy music video that blurred the line between high art and chaos. Most recently, "Blood" became their biggest track to date, a Nu Metal-infused anthem dripping with raw energy and showcasing their most ambitious vocal work yet.

With each release, East Capri refuses to follow the blueprint, instead forging their own path...one that hits harder, sounds bigger, looks better and demands to be heard. With a rapidly growing fan base and a series of compelling releases, East Capri is poised to make significant strides in the alternative music scene, captivating listeners with their innovative sound and authentic artistry.
